These are rare artistic works. The artist uses flowers created with the skills of leather carving and color painting to illustrate the profound meanings of Chinese characters.
2012 Taiwan International Orchid Show invites artist Gloria Hsu to exhibit her works with the orchid motif at the International Conference Hall of Taiwan Orchid Plantation. The duration of exhibition is from March 1st to March 12th, 2012.
The artistic work uses the skills of leather carving and color drawing. Artist Gloria Hsu exhibits her artistic work “Blossom Brings Prosperity” using six kinds of orchids including Cymbidium, Phalaenopsis, Cattleya hybrida, Lady’s slipper, Coelogyne, and Dendrobium to display four Chinese characters of “HUA”, “KAI”, “FU”, and “GUI”. The theme of the work is “Please enjoy the orchids with an open heart.” to encourage viewers to experience the mystery of a vow as a wish of the “Blossom Brings Prosperity”—Life is always rich and full of wel-being.
Gloria’s artistic work “LONGEVITY AND PROSPERITY WITHOUT LIMIT” was designated as a congratulatory present of Thai King’s 60th Anniversary on the throne. Since she insisted on her own way to experience the truth of life and believes that art can bring to life the most beautiful blessings from childhood she wishes that each artistic work can pleasure viewers and touch their hearts. Moreover, her artistic works focus on the aesthetic composition of using the skills of leather carving and color drawing, so her unique idea of using flowers to show Chinese characters, elegant style, and romantic images are consistent throughout her artistic career.
