Flowers
always bring people spiritual delight and generously share their lives
with humans. Since my mother planted flowers, loved flowers, and often
had many sweet dialogues with flowers, I have been captivated by
flowers’ rich colors, beautiful shapes and have also learnt the
importance of listening to nature.
Although I received a MBA degree, I have loved all art related things
since my childhood and all my works record my deepest feelings through
my pictorial and carving skills. What I strives to do is not only to
carve the leather, but also my heart. After years of exploring, I boldly
break traditional molds to make magnificent colors on leather to display
my unique ideas. This transformation of flower forms to illustrate
beautiful Chinese characters in an elegant style, and with a romantic
image, has been consistent throughout my artistic career.
The creative materials are various leathers. Leather has been used since
the beginning of human history and it still breathes after carving and
coloring and could has a much longer life than other materials. Although
using the skill of carving, I carved concave and convex shapes into
beautiful flowers without removing anything from the leather. All the
works are related to “Love”. After I revealed Chinese meanings with the
image of flowers representing my inner spiritual perceptions, Sometimes
it is amazing, sometimes inspired.
